This original 2CV AZU “Fourgonette” was brought from the French Provence, where we bought it from its second owner. It is a rare and fully original early model with suicide doors and a ripple bonnet, produced in 1961 (chassis No. 656927).
It is one of the few remaining original copies of this typical AZU model.
The last owner took possession of the car in 2010, out of purely nostalgic considerations. His father used to have such a 2CV AZU and so he found one locally with the first owner.
This man gave the car all necessary care and ensured that it remained original, mechanical as well as in terms of bodywork. The chassis and bodywork are therefore original and in very good rust-free condition. The paintwork has been resprayed over the years, in the original color. The chairs also received new, original upholstery.
Mechanically, all necessary maintenance and repair work has been carried out, of which supporting documents (invoices) are available: new fuel pump and carburettor, engine seals, master brake cylinder, brake linings and wheel cylinders, suspension cylinders, wheel bearings, battery, exhaust, engine mounts, clutch, drive shafts, door – and window seals, bumpers, …
We carried out some additional maintenance, such as: valve clearance set, starter motor overhaul, …
This wonderful 2CV AZU allows you to get in, start the engine and drive it, without surprises.
It still is on the original black French license plates and disposes of all necessary legal documents.
